But like the Ninja 300/250 that preceded it, this new Ninja model possesses much more than high performance. The new model takes the winning formula that drove the success of the Ninja 250R and its successors, and amplifies it. Not only does the Ninja 250 offer stunning, high-quality looks, its stronger engine performance, light, predictable handling and relaxed, sporty riding position make it both fun and easy to ride.

-Sharp New Ninja Styling : High Class & Futuristic

Head-turning looks have always been a forte of  Ninja models, regardless of displacement. The new Ninja 250 boasts futuristic new Ninja styling inspired by the mighty Ninja H2. The large-volume bodywork attracts attention, and gives the impression of a larger machine. This impression is reinforced by the high-class design and superb fit and finish, which are comparable to bikes from a larger-displacement class.



-Twin LED Headlamps

In addition to contributing to the Ninja 250 sharper looks, slim LED headlamps (each featuring low and high beams, as well as a LED position lamp) are highly visible and offer significantly increased brightness.



-High Grade Cockpit

The Ninja 250 is equipped with the same instrument cluster as the Ninja 650, contributing to the high-grade feel of the tidy cockpit. The sophisticated instrument design features a large analogue tachometer flanked by warning lamps on one side, and a gear position indicator and multi-function LCD screen on the other.



-Slim Fuel Tank

Fuel tank is slim between the rider’s legs, promoting good contact with the bike. The 14 litre fuel capacity contributes to weight reduction, while still enabling a WMTC cruising range of approximately  350 km.



LED Taillight

LED taillight design inspired by the 2016 Ninja ZX- 10R contributes to the rear’s sharp impression.



-Under Seat Storage

Under-seat storage space has two levels for a more efficient use of space. The space is sufficiently large to accommodate a U-lock.



-Fuel-Injected 249 cm³ Parallel Twin Engine

Displacing 249 cm³, the new engine delivers significantly increased performance compared to its predecessor: 28.5 kW for the new Ninja 250 (+5 kW vs the 2017 Ninja 250). The higher performance can largely be credited to the new downdraft intake, which is accompanied by a larger airbox offering increased intake efficiency. The increased performance is complemented by a rider-friendly character; the smooth response and abundant low-end torque facilitate throttle control for new and experienced riders alike.



-Large Airbox

Large 5.8 L airbox (previously 4.7 L) was made as tall as possible to ensure sufficient clearance for the intake funnels. The new design contributes to increased intake efficiency. Revised rigidity for the top of the airbox eliminates unwanted noise, enabling riders to more clearly hear the engine’s intake note when accelerating.





-Downdraft Intake

Downdraft intake provides a shorter, more direct path for intake air to enter the cylinder, improving cylinder-filling efficiency and contributing to increased engine power, especially at high rpm. (The downdraft intake also contributes to chassis layout by freeing up space under the seat, facilitating a design that offers an easy reach to the ground.)



-New Radiator Fan Cover

Innovative Kawasaki technology like the new radiator fan cover (patent pending) located behind the radiator directs hot air out to the sides away from the rider, reducing rider discomfort when stuck in heavy traffic. Redirecting the air also helps keep the tank, frame and other parts that contact the rider cooler, further increasing rider comfort. The new heat management system was design using CFD analysis, and, unlike the previous version, requires no parts (covers, rubber sheets, etc) directing airflow inside the engine compartment.
